Thing 1 Thing 2 Handprint Craft Easy
With doctor Seuss’s birthday coming up I thought I could make this adorable thing 1 thing 2 crafts for kids. As a millennial, I am a huge fan of Theodor Seuss Geisel. Growing up I loved his cartoons. Every single character is so fascinating.
I had more than just one idea for thing 1 and thing 2 crafts. Today I will be sharing two easy crafts using free printable templates. The first tutorial is How To Make Thing 1 Thing 2 Handprint Kids Craft. The second tutorial is How To Make Thing 1 Thing 2 Bookmarks. At the end of the tutorial, I will be sharing some fun facts about these two characters by Doctor Seuss.

Colorful Craft Papers.
Pencil.
Ruler.
Scissors.
Glue.
Colorful Marker Pens.
How To Make Thing One Thing 2 Craft Step by Step Instructions:
Step 1: Thing 1 and Thing 2 Craft Template
I have added a handprint template just in case you need it.
If you are doing this craft with your toddler place their hand on a white blank paper, and trace the hand shape using a pencil.
Cut out the handprint along the outline. Then, trace the shape on blue craft paper. Cut it out.
Cut out the rest of the pieces to make your thing 1 and thing 2 preschool craft using the PDF templates.
Use a black marker to write “thing 1” on the circular white craft paper.
Step 2: Glue The Head.
Glue the thing one head on the palm of the handprint cut out.
Step 3: Glue The Body.
Take the red rectangular body and glue it vertically below the head.
Step 4: Glue The Label
Glue the “thing one” label on the center of the red shirt.
Step 5: Draw The Face
Take a thin black marker pen or a gel pen. Draw the eyes, mouth, and nose.
Step 6: Make Thing Two
Similarly use the templates and handprint to make thing two. Just don’t forget to change the label.
And your handprint Thing 1 Thing 2 craft is ready.

How To Make Thing 1 Thing 2 Bookmark Craft:
Download Thing 1 and Thing 2 Free Printable Templates.
Step 1: Cutting Thing 1 Thing 2 Patterns:
Using cardstock papers and craft papers cut out the pattern from the templates. I have an additional colorful template you can use if you don’t have colorful craft papers.
Step 2:Draw The Face and Label
Use a black gel pen to draw the face, nose, and mouth on the head cut out.
Then, use the pen two write “Thing 1” on the circular label.
Step 3:Glue The Hair
Glue the blue fuzzy hair on the back of the head. Allow the glue to dry.
Step 4: Glue The Hands
Apply glue on the top part of the red cardstock base.
Glue the two hands on two sides of the red cardstock base.
Step 6: Complete The Bookmark
Glue the head in between the two hands.
Then, glue the circular “thing 1” label on the red base below the hands.
Similarly, make thing two.
Fun Facts About Thing 1 and Thing 2:
- Thing 1 and Thing 2 are human-like dwarf creatures. Thing 1 and Thing 2 don’t talk. They laugh and make other noises.
- They have blue messy hair, and completely white faces and they wear red head-to-toe covered red clothing. They are completely identical to each other, only the labels on their clothing.
- Thing 1 and Thing 2 are kept in a red big box, it is called FUN-IN-A-BOX.
- Even though thing 1 and thing 2 don’t talk they are a little mischievous like the cat in the hat.
