Step 2: Make The Body:

Take the grey rectangular craft paper you cut out from the templates. This rectangular craft paper piece’s size is according to the tissue paper roll’s height and circumference.

Wrap the grey craft paper around the tissue paper roll to cover the tissue paper roll’s base.

Glue the light yellow shaded part in the middle part of the tissue paper roll, this will be the tummy for the toilet paper roll koala bear.

Koalas have 5 fingers and long claws and also 5 toes with claws. But since it is a small tissue paper roll we will be using 4 fingers and 3 toes. Glue the claws with the fingers and toes.

Now, glue one hand on the left side of the tissue paper roll and glue the other hand on the right side of the tissue paper roll.

Glue one leg on the bottom-left side of the tissue paper roll and glue the other leg on the bottom-right side of the tissue paper roll.

What Is Happening To The Koalas:

These fuzzy animals are an endangered species. There are so many reasons why the number of koalas is getting lower and lower every year. Whether you like it or not our modern world and climate changes are one of the main reasons why we are losing these lovely animals.

We are demolishing forests and trees for our development, this is one of the biggest reasons why koalas numbers are dropping dramatically. The forests are the home for these furry critters. The striking global warming is causing the loss of their habitats. It has become very difficult for them to survive. As we have mentioned earlier that koalas are very fussy eaters and they mainly survive on very specific types of trees and plants, deforestation is causing them to not have enough food or environment to survive.

It is our responsibility to act upon this matter and help these living creatures survive. Teach our kids the importance of recycling and saving energy. Teach kids about the causes of global warming and its consequences. If we all become aware of this matter we can still save koalas and many more animals that are being endangered.
