But I wanted to make something different for this Valentine’s day.

Before we get started with making our Love Bird 3D heart pop up card for Valentine’s day, you need to download the PDF templates from the link above and print them out. You also need to gather all the listed supplies.
Step 1: Trace and Cut Out The Patterns:
Place the templates on colorful craft papers and use a pencil to trace them. After tracing carefully use a pair of scissors to cut out the bird patterns along the outline.
You can also use the FREE colorful template as well to cut out the bird pattern.
Step 2: How To Make Paper Love Birds:
First glue the paper bird’s tail at the end of its body.
Then, glue the paper bird’s side wings.
Glue the paper bird’s beak on the front, then glue the paper bird’s legs on the bottom to finish making the paper bird craft.
Use colorful marker pens to draw outlines on the bird patterns to add more details.
Step 3:Learn To Make A Pop Up Card With Paper:
To make your 3D heart pop up card for Valentine’s day, select a cardstock paper that you want to use for your pop up card’s base.
I have selected white cardstock paper.
The size of the card should be 2x larger than the width of your paper bird craft, and the card’s length should be 2x larger than its width.
Fold the cardstock paper in half.
Step 4: How To Make Pop Up Card Pop Socket:
Cut out a rectangular-shaped cardstock paper. Fold the cardstock in half, then make small creases on both ends.
Apply glue on the creases, then glue the pop socket on the middle part of the card we made earlier.
Similarly, make two more small pop sockets and glue them on the two sides of the center pop socket. These two pop sockets should be 2 centimeters longer than the large pop socket.
Step 5: DIY Valentine’s Day Pop Up Card Decoration::
Glue the two love birds on the two sockets on the sides of the pop up card.
Cut out the heart shapes from the PDF templates, and glue the smaller hearts inside the large heart.
Glue the paper heart on the center pop up socket.
